Métis N4 GFL Joint Venture Agreement Established

Calgary, AB in the National Homeland of the Red River Métis – Today, Métis N4 Construction, an affiliate of the Manitoba Métis Federation (MMF), announced a strategic partnership with GFL Environmental (GFL) to work together to increase Indigenous participation in the delivery of diversified environmental services across Canada.

“The MMF is pleased to see Métis N4 partner with such a well-established player in the environmental services space,” said David Chartrand, President of the MMF. “It creates a key Indigenous environmental entity that will help grow Métis employment and business opportunities across Canada, while supporting good stewardship of our Homeland. Partnering with responsible organizations complements our existing strategy for the future, which includes decades of river clean up initiatives, a commitment to planting two million trees, retrofitting our governance offices and investing in climate change adaptation strategies.”

The MMF also announced that Métis Employment and Training will work in partnership with GFL and the Métis N4-GFL joint venture to source workers throughout the Red River Métis Homeland.
